The IEA announced that offshore wind power will increase 15-fold in the next 2 decades. At 0.3% of current global electricity generation, new installations will make offshore a $1-trillion biz. Costing over $4 billion for a 1-GW site including seabed transmission, installation costs are expected to almost half, making offshore wind comparable to coal.
