Chinese EV maker Nio swaps about 1 million batteries/week in a 3-minute, full-charge drive-in process or 40 swaps/day at each of its 3,839 stations, providing 15.4 GWh of energy (16% of EV charging) in China. The 100 million swaps since 2018 help condition the grid rather than on-demand slower charging.
