Europe’s largest CSP plant for self-consumption goes online in Spain

A newly installed 30-MW concentrated solar plant (CSP) will cut down 60% of fossil fuel consumption at a Heineken Brewery plant in Seville, Spain. Costing €21 million, the largest CSP plant in Europe uses superheated water for industrial processes and provides 68 MWh of storage capacity for down sun time using water rather than synthetic oils.
