Located 40 km off the Normandy coast, oil giant TotalEnergies and RWE are building the largest clean-energy power plant in France, a €4.5 billion, 1.5-GW wind farm, grid-tied in 2033. The €3 million/megawatt offshore site will reduce costly fossil fuel and nuclear installations (> 50%) to generate 6 TWh/year at €66/MWh to 1 million French homes.
