To make lithium-ion batteries easier to recycle (positive cathode, negative anode, and ion-carrying interior electrolyte), Kevlar-like aramid amphiphile molecules and polyethylene glycol is used as the electrolyte, conducting Li+ ions but easily dissolving in water for removal and then recover the electrodes at the battery’s end of life.
