Half of global-warming emissions come from 36 companies, including Saudi Aramco, Coal India, and ExxonMobil (20 billion tonnes CO2). The 3 largest national emitters are China, US, and India, followed by Saudi Aramco. The IEA noted that new projects hinder net-zero by 2050, while most of the 169 companies in the Carbon Majors database increased emissions.
