A patented solar window wins the award for Best Protected Invention in Spain

Asturian company SolReina won a Spanish patent award for a solar shutter made of glass/thermal-acoustic insulating BIPV C-Si cells. The adjustable photovoltaic solar shutter is resistant to hail and heat, generates up to 225 W/m², and can produce 15% more PV power than a rooftop solar panel and decrease aircon 80%.
