| United States | electric vehicles: charging
As of 2024, GM and Ford EVs can refill at 12,000 Tesla chargers in the US. Both will adopt the Telsa format (22kW Type 2 cable) North American Charging Standard instead of CCS. Tesla's 17,000 network is faster, more reliable, and well-located. NACS adapters will be needed. Over 50,000 public CCS points (140,000 plugs) exist but only 7,400 are DCFC.
