US greenlights major transmission line for renewable energy in Western states

The wind will soon blow from New Mexico to Arizona and California via 520 miles of transmission lines. After the SunZia project passed a final environmental review, Pattern Energy signed PPAs with Shell and UC. In 2 years, the BLM has approved over 30 new-energy and grid-improvement projects to power over 2.6 million homes and shore up the grid.
