A battery-electric vehicle (BEV) costs more than a comprable gasmobile (ICE), but is cheaper to run. A 10-year lifecycle cost analysis - including price, longevity, distance, salvage, fuel economy, insurance, repairs, financing - showed a Chevy Bolt beating a Toyota Corolla by over $15,000 and runs more than a third longer (240,000 vs 160,000 miles).
