Australia could be a leading supplier of hydrogen gas as costs halve by 2030. Brown hydrogen (from coal) and blue hydrogen (from natural gas with CCS) already compete with oil and gas, while 15% of world energy could be fuelled by H2 including EVs, heating/cooling, and grid balancing, with $30 billion spent on end-use technologies and infrastructure.
