The B.C. Zero-Emission Vehicles Act (ZEVA) requires all new light-duty cars and trucks sold in British Columbia to be zero-emission vehicles by 2040 (10% by 2025). Zero emission vehicles are battery electric vehicles (BEV) or fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEV). Hybrids are not zero-emission vehicles.
