The frequency of fracking-related spills is much higher than thought according to a Duke University study in
Environmental Science & Technology. Data shows 6,648 spills in 10 years in Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania alone and that almost 16% of wells spill hydrocarbons, chemical-laden water, and fracking fluids.
