Some American farmers bet on solar. Then Trump changed the rules

Rooftop solar on barns, grain elevators, and offices help farmers with energy costs. Once aided by federal grants (e.g. REAP) but blocked by Trump because of DEI and climate language, some farmers turned to private groups that pay sheep to graze under panels and cut the grass. More than 100 projects (20 GW) await approval near or on agricultural land.
