The world’s largest subsea cable at 765 km (Jutland-Lincolnshire) can transmit 1.4 GW to 2.5 million UK homes, 90% zero-carbon sources. Built by Siemens, the Viking Link HVDC cable offers lower prices and grid resilience to the UK, Danish wind power a new market, and more EU connectivity (15% of grid power can be sent abroad in 16 countries).
