Can aluminium-air batteries outperform Li-ion for EVs?

An Al-air battery pack is lighter with a higher energy density than Li-ion. Akin to a fuel cell as in a rocket booster, the aluminum powder reacts with oxygen (air) to generate electrical power. An Al-air battery is swapped rather than charged en route, putting less stress on the grid and also scales better to marine and aviation transport.
