| United States | renewables: grid
Wind, solar, and battery costs have dropped so much the US could run on 90% clean electricity by 2035 without increased bills. Since 2010, utility-scale solar power costs dropped 82% and onshore wind power 39%, inviting Moore’s Law comparisons. Cheaper renewable power can create 570,000 new jobs a year, including in less sunny and windy areas.
