British power plant promises to go carbon negative by 2030

Powered by coal and wood pellets (considered renewable and carbon neutral by some), the UK’s largest power plant at 5% plans to capture more carbon than it produces by 2030 (so-called “negative emission”). More government subsidies (£2m per day) will be needed beyond 2027 to create sustainable wood sources and capture carbon onsite.
