First gas station in America to ditch oil for 100% electric vehicle charging opens in Maryland

Citing poor oil-and-gas-company structured contracts, a Takoma Park gas station switched its pumps to 100% electric. In business since 1958, RS Automotives will now service the almost 21,000 registered Maryland EVs and local electric taxis. Four 200-kW-connected dispensers will recharge 80% of an EV battery in under 30 minutes.
