To compete in the luxury EV market, General Motors announced its Cadillac brand will go electric by 2021 with a target 300-mile range. After discontuning its Chevy Volt in 2018, GM will also launch 20 new hybrids, plug-ins, and EV models (3-row SUV, low-roof, and van) powered by an add-on "ice-tray" battery pack.
